Where and how can it be made

5.: Even though the winecellar is subject to insulation, thereby
being able to maintain a more even room-temperature,
you should arrange for proper ventilation as your winecellar
should be able to breathe and accordingly it is adviseable
to install an upper placed small electronic fan, preferably
    connected via a humidity-control-system.

If your basement is made out of concrete, it is vital, that
you install a dehumidifyer, as otherwise the humidity will
reach a higher level than necessary. In fact a humidity
above 68 % will have a negative impact on the winelabels.

As the humidity differs, depending on whether you have
your winecellar made out of various types of wood, bricks,
concrete and other materials, it is therefore a good idea to
check the exact humidity of your winecellar and based on
the result you should then decide whether or not to install
either a dehumidifyer or the contrary,- a humidifyer.

If you do not have the possibility of either a winecellar in a basement or a closet / small cupboard inside the house or apartment  you still have the possibility of a wine-cabinet (also named wine-cooler, wine-refrigerator etc.).

These are manufactured by numerous companies and they are a perfect solution in lack of the previously described.
However, you should observe that for long-term ageing and development of your wine,- they are not a good solution
unless you choose the very expensive top-models (USD 6.000 and upwards)
because of many reasons of which the major are as follows:

  1. Their shock-absorbers (if any) are
        not absorbing 100%

  2.  They are not all equipped with an
air-purifier and we are then back on
        the  problem concerning odeurs

  3.  You have a serious problem in case
        of  power-failure

  4.  The sediment or crust is not bottom-
searching (yet, it can easily be done)
